SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
Only half of a teaspoon is needed for your 1 to 2 pieces of jewelry, I need only one small bag of the ashes. To help gauge how much to ship: 1 item = 1 thimble, 2 items = 2 thimbles.
DO NOT MAKE EXTRA BAGS unless you have two different people or pet ashes you would like to keep separate.
On the 2 small zip-lock sandwich bags, write both your name and the name of the deceased, as well as the phone number and the order number.
Place no more than 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ashes into the first bag and zip shut.
Place the first bag into the second empty bag and make sure both are zipped shut.
If extra security is desired, you can place the second filled bag into a third empty bag.
Make sure as much air as possible is removed out of both bags.
Tip: Rolling the bag will remove air, then seal it shut when at the top.

This section will go into detail in regards to how you need to ship your cremation remains. Please read ALL of the shipping instructions carefully.
Why dont we provide an ash kit?

Ash kits are free if you live in the USA and will be delivered to your home via USPS.

We incur additional costs in shipping we have to pass on to you.

Our typical turnaround time is 5 to 7 working days after we receive the ashes, thus allowing you to have your items much sooner than other makers' 6 to 12-week turnaround time.
Documentation and What To Ship:
A copy of the transaction receipt is preferred to be supplied with the remains. This is needed for identification purposes only.
If you do not have a printer that is ok, please make sure to label the baggies with a sharpie or a handwritten note with an order number, name, and cellphone number at a minimum. We can match up your order and print it in-house. DO NOT send ashes that cannot be identified.
Recommended:
First and last name name of the person ordering the item.
Your order number.
The name of the loved one.
Cell phone number (landline #'s will not receive texts)
OUR PREFERED METHOD FOR YOU TO SHIP YOUR ASHES

Currently, we are finding that shipping ashes via USPS Priority Flat rate envelopes tend to show up quicker and are less expensive to ship and the envelopes are free.

USPS is the only legal shipping method that you can mail ashes in the USA.

Use a cardboard envelope or cardboard box.

Tape the box's seams as poorly taped boxes arrive flat and crushed.

There are specific requirements for preparing, packaging, and shipping human or animal cremated remains. The Postal Service is here to help you understand how to meet these requirements and take the necessary steps to protect this special mailing. By following these requirements, you can be confident that you have done everything you can so that your loved one’s remains can arrive at the intended destination safely.
Shipping USPS Express The starting at a cost of $24.70 and is the legal way to ship cremated remains. The Express parcel is hand-carried to my business and dropped off only with a signature and is insured.
Shipping USPS Priority Mail, In the past, we have had customers ship with this method, and 99.99% of the packages arrived without complications. Please note that this is at your own discretion, as it is not the way the post office requires ashes to be sent! If you choose to do this method, please get tracking. You are responsible for the packing and shipping you send to us.
If you are sending fabric, sand from a beach, flowers, campfire ash, or anything non-cremation ash that you would like to be inlaid into your jewelry, this option is a perfect option to use. Do not send liquids, anything biohazard or radioactive.

Shipping Policy
ORDER PROCESSING:
Please allow 2 to 4 working days for non-cremation jewelry to be made and shipped. Processing your cremation jewelry order will typically take 3 to 5 working days once we receive your cremation ashes. In either scenario, you can expect an email once your order is made within 1 to 3 days to let you know it is on its way! If you have a custom order, we will provide you with lead times due to the complexity of the items to be made.

We do not offer local delivery at this time.
Shipping Rates
The United States Postal Service determines shipping rates. We have a link to their internal website with discounted rates directly from the USPS. Cremation Creations LLC does not mark up these rates.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING RATES AND ESTIMATES:
For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
We offer international shipping to ALMOST anywhere in the world that laws allow us to. For rates, please see at checkout. If you find there is an issue, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. That means the USPS system hasn't been updated, and we will have to call them for rates for you.
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Cremation Creations LLC is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
REFUNDS,, RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
We accept returns up to 10 days after delivery for non-cremation items if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return. Items like piercing jewelry such as earrings purchased, can not be returned for hygiene reasons. Some states even forbid the returning of jewelry of this type.
If the item is a cremation item or a custom-made item, we do not accept returns. It is almost impossible to return your ashes; the item was custom-made.
